The Leader of Ennahdha Party, Rached Ghannouchi, and his son-in-law, Rafik Abdessalem, were sentenced to three years in prison. The sentence was handed today, Thursday, February 1, 2024, by the Tunis Court of First Instance Financial Corruption Criminal Chamber.

The Court also imposed a fine of US 1.170,470 million, or its equivalent in TND, on the party over the reception of foreign financial donations, court spokesperson Mohamed Zitouna told TAP.
