The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that during the 44th session of the Executive Council of the African Union, Minister Nabil Ammar, praised the launch of the African Union’s theme for the year 2024: “ Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning for Africa.”
The Minister emphasized Tunisia's commitment to ensuring access to compulsory and free education, considering it a fundamental principle since the country's independence. He highlighted education as a catalyst for social progress and development, both within Tunisia and across Africa
During the session, Nabil Ammar called for strengthening partnerships between the public and private sectors and enhancing cooperation with civil society.
He also stressed the importance of developing technical and vocational education programs, the promotion of innovation and research and the women’s involvement in the fields of science and technology for prosperous educational, scientific and technological future in Africa, to which Tunisia is proud of being part of, according to the same source.
