Speaking to Al Jazeera in an interview on Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Algerian President, Abdelmajid Tebboune, affirmed that Algeria will not allow the collapse of the Tunisian State, considering Tunisia as an extension to Algeria’s security.

He stressed that Algeria will not abandon Tunisia neither its people.

"The malicious external pressures destabilize internal stability, so that the citizen finds himself sharpening a homeland," he said.

He also added that Algeria always seeks to return the favor to Tunisia and provide assistance as much as possible.
