The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that yesterday, January 19, 2023, the Minister Othman Jerandi, received, in the headquarters of the ministry, the new Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tunisia,WAN Li, who handed him a copy of his credentials.

The Minister expressed his wishes to the Chinese ambassador for success in his duties and affirmed the ministry's readiness to provide all appropriate conditions that enable him to perform his duties to the fullest, praising the level of close relations between Tunisia and China, and highlighting the importance of further upgrading them through strengthening economic and trade cooperation and further develop Chinese investments and projects in Tunisia, in the light of the results of the Arab-Chinese Summit held last December in Riyadh.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his pride in his appointment as head of his country's diplomatic mission in Tunisia, noting the long-standing Tunisian-Chinese relations and his country's keenness to further develop them in various fields. In this context, he highlighted his intention to further strengthen the bonds of cooperation and partnership to serve the common interest of the two countries.
