On August 19, 2024, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, met with the British Ambassador, Helen Winterton, as she concluded her tenure in Tunisia.

Minister Ammar praised Ambassador Winterton for her efforts in strengthening bilateral relations, particularly in education, higher education, and scientific research. He also emphasized Tunisia's commitment to deepening cooperation with the UK, stated the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

Reflecting on his October 2023 visit to London during the Tunisian-British Association Council's second session, Minister Ammar highlighted the need to activate the council's mechanisms promptly. Ambassador Winterton expressed her gratitude for the support she received during her tenure and reaffirmed the UK's dedication to elevating relations with Tunisia based on mutual respect and equality.
