The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Nabil Ammar, received today, Monday, at the Ministry’s headquarters, the Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East, Zhai Jun, , who is paying a working visit to Tunisia.

The Minister praised the distinguished level of the Tunisian-Chinese friendship relations and reiterated Tunisia’s willingness to further enhance the bilateral cooperation.

He hailed also the China's contribution to the realization of a significant number of development projects in Tunisia, such as the Diplomatic Academy, the University Hospital in Sfax, and the Youth and Sports Center in Ben Arous, according to the same source.

From his side, the Chinese Envoy recalled the longstanding relations between Tunisia and China and expressed China’s willingness to take them to the highest levels of cooperation.

He also reaffirmed China’s determination to maintain consultations and mutual exchange of views with Tunisia on regional and multilateral issues of common interest.

Both Sides reaffirmed their commitment to implement the outcomes of the meeting held between the Tunisian President and his Chinese counterpart on December 9th, 2022 in Riyadh on the occasion of the First China-Arab States Summit.
