Different Vision to the Musical Days of Carthage

In the context of its openness to different spaces, the Carthage Musical Days, in its seventh session, presented another vision based mainly on electro in its audio and visual dimensions to resound electronic music in the old city of Tunisia and adorn its expressions in heritage spaces.

On the evening of Sunday, December 19, 2021, electronic music lovers headed to 4 different places in the old city to discover 4 experimental audiovisual projects. It was supervised by the expert in electronic music and curator of paintings, Ayman Al-Gharbi.

And in the old city was the audience is on a date with a night tour in the folds of different musical performances, starting from the Dar Hussein bazaar, passing through the Sultan's bed and the Taher Al-Haddad Cultural Club, all the way to the well of stones.

In Darbet Dar Hussein, the audience was on a date with the “Untitled” show by the duo Osama Al-Minshawi and Bassam Al-Sudairi, and in Mehda Dar Al-Sultan, Aziz Al-Maysawi and Dawan presented the “Lucy” show, while the Taher Al-Haddad Cultural Club hosted the “Abis” show by Haifa Al-Werfalli and Rami Al-Harabi. "Effie Ma", Rami Al-Harabi, and Dhawan presented the "Ompivalons" show at Bir Al-Hajar.

The four shows, which added movement in the old city, last for half an hour, ranging from audio creativity to visual creativity, and taking the audience on a journey between the details of electronic music loaded with different stories that reflect the experiences of the owners.

These performances are the product of a residency dedicated to the electronic music scene and visual art, created by the Carthage Musical Days as part of its search for a new way of collaboration and innovation.

The program, which is supervised by Ayman Al-Gharbi and Ziad Al-Madb Hamrouni, is divided into two parts, the first is related to two artistic residencies, and the second is related to residency outcomes based on four performances.

The first residency took place at the International Cultural Center in Hammamet intending to search for ways of working between different artists in the fields of sound and image, to form groups that include pairs, each looking for artistic sensibilities to emulate.

After the completion of the first residency, which is based on sound and visual experimentation, building and deconstructing concepts and ideas, the artists had time to mature their ideas and artistic productions more and more.

And in the second residence, which was organized in the old city, digging the arts Deep in the details of artistic productions to refine it and improve it to reach its final stage, and chose Each duo signed for the final show in the Medina of Tunisia They adapted their artistic creations to the new spatial space.
