Eigthy nine official delegations from the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) member states and international organizations confirmed their participation in the 18th Francophonie Summit, said Summit Media Coordinator Mohamed Trabelsi.
This includes 31 heads of state and government of OIF member states, five under-secretaries, ministers of foreign affairs, ministers responsible for La Francophonie, ambassadors and seven Secretaries-General of regional and international organizations.
Tunisia is ready to welcome its guests, Trabelsi told reporters earlier today Tuesday on the sidelines of a meeting of a delegation including diplomats and security officials of OIF member states which confirmed their participation in the Djerba Summit
The challenges confronting the Francophone space are on the agenda of the meeting of the heads of states and governments, mainly youth employment, digitization as a way to bolster cooperation and economic integration in the French-speaking space.
OIF Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo arrived Monday at the Tunisian Village of the Francophonie where she visited the various pavilions and stands.
