According to Reuters, a phone conversation was held today, 7 March, 2022, between the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In this conversation the Indian Prime Minister urged the Russian President to hold direct talks with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.

An Indian government source stressed that President Putin Briefed Prime Minister Modi on the status of negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian teams.
