This morning, Wednesday, March 23, 2022, the cruise ship "Spirit of Discovery" arrived at the port of La Goulette, carrying 724 tourists, for the first time after an absence of three years.

The Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Mohamed El Moez Belhussein, indicated in a media statement that most of the ship's passengers are tourists from Britain with some other nationalities like French, German and Spanish.

The minister stressed the importance of the return of touristic cruises for Tunisian tourism and the traditional industries sector, in addition to its importance for the transport sector and many other fields, especially cultural activities.

He highlighted that a second cruise is expected to arrive in April 2022 out of a total of 40 cruises expected during 2022.
