Unseeded Czech tennis player, Carolina Muchova, made a major breakthrough after eliminating the second-ranked Belarusian player, Aryna Sabalenka, in the semi-finals of the French Open tennis tournament, and reaching the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time in her career.

Muchova, 26 years old, emerged victorious in the match, with a score of two sets to one, "7-6, 6-7, 7-5", putting an end to Sabalenka's hopes of claiming the top spot in the professional women's tennis rankings.
