The Tunisian Ministry of Transport stated that the Minister, Rabii Majidi, received yesterday, Friday, at the headquarters of the ministry, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tunisia, Wan Li.

This meeting was an opportunity to confirm the distinguished bilateral relations and the full readiness of the two sides to activate the joint work program, in the interest of the two friendly countries.

The Minister briefed his guest on the broad lines of the national strategy for the development of the transport sector and its integration into regional and international trends, especially with regard to the use of modern technologies and the adoption of smart and clean transport that considers the requirements of environmental protection and the challenges of climate change, according to the same source.

For his part, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his country's readiness to support Tunisia in the completion of its projects related to the transport sector, appreciating the advanced Chinese experiences in the field of modern technologies.

The two sides agreed to continue dialogue and exchange views on prospects for joint cooperation in various fields such as urban transport, rail transport and transport infrastructure in its various forms.
