The Hazoua border crossing in Tozeur Governorate saw the passage of over 21,000 Algerian tourists since the beginning of December, on the occasion of the new year celebrations and winter holidays, the governor of Tozeur Mohamed Amine Bjaoui told TAP.

Some 20,000 have visited the tourist areas of the governorate since December 15, he said, adding that the number of overnight stays has reached 39,000 nights during this period.

Hotel units were fully booked according to figures, especially prior to the 43^rd Edition of the International Festival of the Oases, the same source mentioned.
