(TAP) - The French Ambassador to Tunisia André Parant reaffirmed the continued support to the Independent High Authority of Audiovisual Communication (HAICA), within the framework of cooperation programs.

The French diplomat was speaking as he met HAICA President Nouri Lajmi on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at HAICA offica.

Parant praised HAICA's experience in regulating the audiovisual sector, stressing the importance of its role during the upcoming elections.

This meeting was an occasion to discuss the Tunisian-French cooperation in the mediatic field, and the current challenges facing the Tunisian media sector.
