The Head of the Tunisian Government Najla Bouden met Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at the Kasbah Palace, the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Tunisia Celine Moyroud.

The Head of Government expressed her gratitude to UNDP for its active participation in the success of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development TICAD 8, held on 27 and 28 August 2022, in Tunis.

She also commended the support provided to Tunisi in the various areas of economic, social and environmental development and in the realization of the sustainable development strategy by 2030, according to a statement by the Tunisian Government.

From her part, the UNDP Resident Representative praised "the success of TICAD 8" and reviewed "the progress of several joint cooperation projects''.

She said that she agrees with the Head of Government on revising cooperation programs to adapt them to national priorities (food security, energy security, fight against drought and water scarcity) as well as enhancing coordination at the level of training and educational programs, to adapt them to the requirements of the labor market.

She stressed the commitment of UNDP to support Tunisia and to accompany the implementation of joint cooperation projects.
