Hot Weather Awaits Tunisia This Autumn

The National Institute of Meteorology predicts that September, October, and November of 2024 will be hotter than usual across all of Tunisia.

Additionally, the institute forecasts drier-than-average conditions for the same period, particularly in the southern and western regions of the country.

While these predictions point to a generally warmer and drier season, there remains a possibility of short bursts of heavy rainfall in certain areas.

This follows the trend of recent years, as the fall of 2023 was classified by the institute as one of the hottest autumns since 1950, similar to the fall of 2022.

Tunisia, which is already experiencing water stress, faced a significant rainfall deficit during that period, making the fall of 2023 the second driest in the country's history.
