The President of the Tunisian Republic, Kais Saied, confirmed during a visit to a bakery in the capital on Monday, March 14, 2022, that those who want to starve the people will pay a heavy price, indicating that when the anti-monopoly decree is issued, they will pay the price of speculation.

The Head of the State also said: « stop starving people, and stop playing with the food of Tunisians… the one who starves the people has no place in Tunisia ».

He added: « flour and semolina are stored in order to starve Tunisians this is their democracy », insisting that bread should be available for everyone.
