The Tunisian Minister of Finance and the Minister of Economy and Planning per interim, Siham Boughdiri Namsiyeh, received this morning, at the Ministry’s headquarters, a delegation from the German Parliament currently having a working visit to Tunisia, with the presence of Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Tunisia, Peter Prügel.

On this occasion, the Tunisian Minister expressed her satisfaction with the distinguished level of cooperation relations between Tunisia and Germany, and praised Germany's position as a strategic partner for Tunisia, according to a statement by the Tunisian Ministry of Finance.

She also touched on the major challenges facing the national economy in light of the current regional situation and the efforts made by the state with the aim of restoring economic and financial stability, pushing investment, and further enhancing social gains.

For their part, the German parliamentarians stated that this visit represents an opportunity to learn about the development of the economic situation in Tunisia and to study the possibilities and ways to advance German investments in Tunisia and further develop economic relations between the two countries, said the Ministry.
