The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, will be on a visit to Yaoundé (Cameroon) in the aim to chair the 44th session of the Ministerial Conference of Francophonie, due to be held on November 4-5.
This Conference will be held under the theme: "Good Governance: A Guarantee of Political, Economic and Cultural Stability for Francophone Citizens," and will be attended by Secretary General of the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo and the OIF member States Foreign Affairs Ministers, stated the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
The event will offer the opportunity to review the main outcomes of the 18th session of Francophonie Summit, which was hosted in Djerba on November 19-20, 2022, and to work on ensuring their follow up.
Promoting joint Francophone action with a view to set up a more stable, resilient and prosperous Francophone space, will be discussed during the meeting.
At the closing session, Ammar will pass on the presidency of the Francophone Ministerial Conference to his French counterpart, whose country will host the next Francophonie Summit in 2024.
Ammar will further hold bilateral meetings with his French-speaking counterparts to review bilateral relations, agree on ways to foster them, discuss recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and to reiterate Tunisia's stance with regard to the ongoing barbaric aggression against Gaza and the need to put an end to it, according to the same source.
