An agreement was reached today, Wednesday, November 16, 2022, between the Tunisian Minister of Transport, Rabie Majidi, and the Minister of Communications of the Libyan National Unity Government, Muhammad Shhoubi, to inaugurate the maritime line for the transport of passengers and goods between Libyan and Tunisian ports.
A technical team will be formed between the two ministries to prepare the necessary procedures for the opening of this line at the end of this year 2022.
It was also agreed to open the new gates that were equipped at Ras Jedir crossing, which were scheduled to open at the end of this month. To ease congestion, there are special corridors for ambulances.
With regard to civil aviation and air traffic, all joint procedures between the two countries were discussed, and coordination was made more closely to address any bottlenecks in particular.
A memorandum of understanding was also signed for scientific and technical cooperation in the field of meteorology, climate and confronting climate change that the world is facing.
