Janny Sikazwe has been selected to officiate at the 2022 FIFA World Cup among the 36 centre referees

In the AFCON 2022 held earlier this year in Cameroon , Janny Sikazwe controversially blew the final whistle of the African Cup of Nations group game between Mali and Tunisia after 85 minutes and again 13 minutes before 90 minutes were complete.

Sikazwe said later "God instructed me to terminate the match." and that he was diagnosed with a heatstroke during the game between Mali and Tunisia

It is noteworthy that there will be six african referees selected for Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup .
