In a declaration to Al-Wataniya TV Channel on June 13, 2022, the Head of the National Consultative Commission for a New Republic, Sadok Belaid confirmed that according to the new constitution the President of the Republic will be entrusted with the task of choosing and appointing the Head of Government.

He also added that the Parliament will only interfere on the legislative and legal level.
