President Kais Saied of Tunisia and President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China presided over the signing ceremony of several cooperation agreements between Tunisia and China.

The ceremony took place today, Friday, in Beijing, at the conclusion of an extensive working session attended by members of both countries' delegations, stated the Tunisian Presidency.

The Tunisian Presidency announced in a statement that the agreements encompass a range of areas, including an economic and technical cooperation agreement, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on establishing a working group for investment, an MoU on enhancing development cooperation and promoting the activation of the Global Development Initiative, and an MoU in the field of green and low-carbon development.

Additionally, the occasion saw the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Tunisian National Radio and the Chinese National Radio and Television Administration, a cooperation agreement between the Tunis Africa Press Agency and the Chinese Xinhua News Agency, and an MoU between Tunisian Television and the China Media Group.

The statement from the Tunisian Presidency added that President Xi welcomed the invitation extended by President Saied to pay a state visit to Tunisia, promising to fulfill the invitation at the earliest possible opportunity.
