The Tunisian Ministry of Youth and Sports stated that the Minister Kamal Daqish, along with the President of the International Tennis University David Haggerty, supervised yesterday, September 29, 2022, the opening of the "International Tennis Academy" in Sousse, which will represent the first African regional tennis training center in one of the hotels in Sousse to attract tennis lovers from all regions.

This academy includes:

- 8 tennis courts with international standards.

- Training room and another to strengthen muscles.

- Accommodation and subsistence units.

The Tunisian Minister together with the President of the African Tennis Confederation, Tarek Sherif, supervised the signing ceremony of a partnership agreement between the Tunisian University and the International Tennis University, represented by their presidents, Salma Moulhi and David Haggerty, according to which experiences will be exchanged and future projects are prepared for the further presentation of tennis in the region.

The world Tunisian champion, Ons Jabeur was also present in that event.
