According to the Tunisian Ministry of Cultural Affairs, the Minister Hayat Ketat Guermazi, received yesterday evening at the ministry headquarters, the Ambassador of Spain to Tunisia, Guillermo Ardizone Garcia.
In this meeting, they discussed ways to enhance cooperative relations in the cultural and heritage fields between the two countries with a number of cultural projects, such as the establishment of a joint documentary exhibition in Tunisia that introduces its history, its most prominent archaeological landmarks, and its heritage and tourism sites during the nineteenth century, as well as a project to organize a group of Andalusian musical activities and the art of "malouf" as a common cultural heritage.
In the same context, they talked about the possibility of developing an action plan to help restoring a number of monuments and historical and cultural sites in Tunisia.
On this occasion, the Minister of Cultural Affairs praised the depth of the historical relations between Tunisia and Spain and the strength of the distinguished cultural ties between them throughout the ages, expressing the keenness of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs to further develop this cooperation.
From his part, the Ambassador of Spain expressed his country's desire to further advance bilateral relations between the two countries in the music, theater, cinema and literature sectors by strengthening the Spanish presence in cultural events, international festivals and various intellectual activities, calling for the need to work on expanding the network of cooperation with the institutions related to the ministry.
