On Sunday, January 01, 2023, the Tunisian Minister of the Environment, Mrs.Leila Chikhaoui Mahdaoui, gave the start signal for the annual campaign "Clean-up Year 2023" to collect plastic waste and scattered light waste from the quarter of Ibn Khaldoun, with the participation and organization of the General Command of the Tunisian Scouts.

On the occasion, the Minister stressed the importance of this annual event, which works to consolidate environmental awareness among citizens.

She also called for participation in this initiative in a regular and periodic manner throughout the year 2023, in order to improve and sustain the aesthetics of the environment and the quality of life for all.
