The Minister of Industry and Mines, Naila Nouira Gonji, received on Friday evening, March 25, 2022, a delegation from the French-Tunisian Oil Company (CFTP) headed by Willem Van’t Spijker, President of Spyker ENERGY and a shareholder in the company's capital by 50 percent.

The meeting represented an opportunity to discuss areas of joint cooperation between the two sides and to develop the company's work in the field of exploration and prospecting for fuel.

Gonji affirmed that the ministry departments are fully prepared in order to inform investors in various fields and to overcome difficulties in front of them so they can complete their projects in the best conditions.

It is noteworthy that the French Tunisian Oil Company was established in 1969 between the Tunisian state and the French Oil Company, which was assigned the Sfax-Kerkena license at that time, and the Sidi Litayem and Sidi Behara concessions were discovered and they entered into production in 1972.

The daily production rate of the Sidi Behara and Sidi Litayem concessions is about 100 cubic meters of oil.
