The President of the Republic of Tunisia, Kais Saied met today’s evening, at Carthage Palace, with the Minister of Interior, Tawfiq Charfeddine, accompanied by senior security officials, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia.

This meeting discussed the course of a case of conspiracy against the internal security of the state, where the President of the Republic renewed his keenness to know the truth in the full respect of the law.

The President of the Republic also confirmed that the freedom of expression is guaranteed, and there is no connection between the recent arrests and that freedom.

The meeting also dealt with the issue of tightening campaigns against monopolists allied with those conspirators against the security of the state and society.

In this meeting, the President of the Republic noted the historical role played by the research teams, and stressed that there is no excuse for anyone today to disappoint the legitimate demand of the people for justice and accountability.
