The member of the Scientific Committee to Confront Covid-19, Riadh Daghfous, called on, today, Monday, July 11, 2022, the citizens to vaccinate with booster doses against Covid-19 to prevent dangerous symptoms that may result from infection with the virus, and to avoid staying in recovery units.

In a statement to TAP, Daghfous confirmed that vaccination against Coronavirus has proven its effectiveness in previous periods in Tunisia, as it contributed to reducing the number of serious cases, and to the decrease in the number of deaths, noting that most of the serious cases currently residing in hospitals are due to two main reasons, which are either the lack of complete vaccination process or not receiving booster doses.

He also confirmed that the epidemiological situation is under control in Tunisia, calling on citizens to be vigilant, to wear a mask in closed and public spaces, and to ventilate the spaces.
