The Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister, Nabil Ammar, received today, Friday, at the headquarters of the Ministry, The Special Envoy of the French President to Libya, Paul Soler.
During this meeting, the Tunisian Minister recalled Tunisia’s position on the situation in Libya, stressing that the solution should be Libyan and that all regional and international efforts should be directed towards finding a political settlement that preserves Libya’s unity, security and stability.
For his part, the French Envoy appreciated the active Tunisian role since the beginning of the crisis, expressing Paris' aspiration for greater coordination with Tunisia within the framework of a participatory approach to advance the political track in Libya.
The meeting also touched on developments in the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, where the Minister recalled Tunisia’s position on the ongoing brutal aggression against Gaza and the necessity of stopping it immediately.
He also warned of the danger of continuing to deal with this catastrophic situation in the current manner and the delay in stopping the aggression of the occupation forces against the Palestinian people and its repercussions that may affect the region and the entire world, according to the same source.
