The Tunisian FM receives the Ambassadors of Belgium and Netherlands

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that the Minister Mr. Nabil Ammar received today April 19, 2023, at the ministry’s headquarters, the Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Belgium and the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Tunisia.

During the meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Tunisia, Mrs. Josephine Barbara Frantzen, the Minister Nabil Ammar valued the longstanding and solid relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, whether at the bilateral level or in relation with European and international institutions, stressing Tunisia's reliance on the Netherlands support to overcome the delicate economic situation that Tunisia is going through.

The meeting also represented an opportunity during which the two sides reviewed the various aspects of the existing cooperation between the two countries and ways to further develop and diversify them in the light of the upcoming events.

Mrs. Josephine Barbara Frantzen expressed her keenness to further develop friendship and cooperation relations between the two countries, who celebrate this year the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them, stressing her Government's determination to continue the cooperation with Tunisia in areas related to employment, youth empowerment, sustainable development and social cohesion, as well as migration.

Later on, the Tunisian Foreign Minister met with the Belgian Ambassador, François Dumont, where the two sides reviewed the main aspects of bilateral cooperation, underlined the importance of continuing a constructive bilateral dialogue and exploring the best ways to strengthen traditional areas of cooperation, and they both agreed to find new partnership opportunities that serve the interests of both countries.
