The Tunisian Ministry of Interiors stated that the Minister, Kamel Feki, received today, Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at the headquarters of the Ministry, the Resident Representative Ambassador of the United Nations Development Programme in Tunisia (PNUD), Celine Moyroud.

This eeting was an occasion to discuss the outstanding cooperation and strategic partnership between the Ministry of Interior and the United Nations office, particularly in supporting the reform of the security sector, especially in matters related to improving the quality of services provided to citizens through digitization and community policing approaches, which affirms the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to the reformative path of the security system in accordance with international standards.

Both parties expressed satisfaction with the level of partnership and emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance it in order to generalize the experience of community policing to all governorates of the republic, similar to the state of Medenine.

The meeting also touched upon the joint cooperation project in the field of local development, which falls within the new portfolio of cooperation between the Tunisian government and the UN program for the period 2023-2027, stated the Ministry.
