The Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia stated on its Facebook page., that the President of the Republic Mr.Kais Saied, received, today, Friday, May 20, 2022, at Carthage Palace, Mr. Akhtar Ould Chebani, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports and Relations with Parliament in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, who handed a written message addressed to the Tunisian President from his brother, the Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani.

During this meeting, the President of the Republic praised the strong bonds of sincere brotherhood and the fruitful relations of cooperation that unite the two brotherly countries and peoples.

He also affirmed his firm keenness to continue working together with his brother, the President Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, in order to raise bilateral relations to the highest levels in accordance with common perceptions and new visions, as well as to further consolidate the consultation, coordination and exchange of support in nominations for positions in regional and international organizations.

From his part, the Mauritanian Minister conveyed to the President of the Republic the greetings of the Mauritanian President, reiterating his country's great appreciation for Tunisia, its leadership and people.

Mr. Akhtar Ould Chebani also referred to the congruence of the two countries' leaderships in their views and perceptions on several bilateral, regional and international issues, and he expressed Mauritania's aspiration to further strengthen and diversify the bilateral relations with Tunisia.
