The Tunisian President, Kais Saied, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francophonie, and Congolese Abroad in the Republic of Congo, Jean-Claude Gakosso, today, Friday, at the Palace of Carthage, according to a statement by the Tunisian Presidency.

During this meeting, Gakosso who handed a letter addressed to the Tunisian President from the part of the President of the Republic of Congo and the Chairman of the High-level Committee of the African Union on Libya, Denis Sassou Nguesso, said the Tunisian Presidency.

This meeting was an occasion where the Tunisian President reaffirmed Tunisia’s pride in its African dimension and its commitment to developing fraternal, cooperative, and solidarity relations with its brothers on the African continent.

The Tunisian Head of State also praised the efforts made at the level of the High-Level Committee of the African Union on Libya. In this context, he reiterated Tunisia's consistent position on this issue, emphasizing the necessity of reaching a Libyan-Libyan solution without external interventions or pressures. This approach aims to protect the unity of Libya and preserve its security and stability, added the Tunisian Presidency.
