The National Institute of Meteorology has stated that the weather today, Monday, January 8, 2024, is expected to be heavily cloudy with some showers in the north and temporary thunderous rains in the extreme northwest including possible hail falling in limited places. Additionally, snow is forecasted in the western highlands.

The winds are strong near the coasts and moderate to strong inland, with the appearance of some local sand swirls in the south.

The sea is rough in the north and very turbulent to rough along the eastern coasts.

The weather is generally cold with temperatures ranging between 6 and 10 degrees in the western highlands, and between 12 and 16 degrees elsewhere.
