The 2024 Francophonie Days in Tunisia will feature ‘The Francophone Film Festival’ from June 3-15 in Tunis and June 5-19 in Sousse, as announced by the International Organization of the Francophonie (OIF).
Highlighting Francophone cultural diversity and its global dissemination, the festival aligns with the theme ‘Create, Innovate and Undertake in French,’ set for the Francophonie Summit in October 2024 in Villers-Cotterêts.
The event, organized by the Francophone Ambassadors Group and coordinated by the General Delegation of Wallonie-Bruxelles in Tunisia, will take place at the French Institute of Tunis and the French Institute of Sousse.
Around twenty films from the OIF and 15 GAF member embassies, including Argentina, Canada, France, and Morocco, will be screened. These films explore themes such as love, friendship, women's issues, and climate change. The festival opens with the Tunisian film ‘The Man Who Sold His Skin’ (2020) by Kaouther Ben Hania.
