According to the Happy Planet Index (HPI) study, which was completed under the supervision of the United Nations Organization, revealed that Tunisia ranked 120^th internationally out of 146 countries around the world in terms of happiness.

This study was based on standards of living conditions, social solidarity among citizens of one country and the integrity of the Government's performance.

At the Maghreb level, Tunisia is on the 4^th rank with a score of 4.516/10 with a wide difference from its neighbors: where Libya ranked 86 internationally, Morocco ranked 89 and Algeria ranked 96. And even with a wider difference from many other African countries that suffer from miserable conditions like Liberia, Cameroon, Congo.. and even Asian such as Bangladesh.

At the level of the Arab countries, Tunisia beats Egypt that ranked 129, Yemen ranked 132, Jordan ranked 134 and Lebanon ranked 145.
