The National Heritage Institute announced in a statement on its official page the discovery of an archaeological site dating back to the Roman era.
This discovery came within the framework of works to prepare the north-south entrance road between Sidi Mansour and Teboulba.
A team from the National Heritage Institute conducted a rescue excavation during the period from January 3, 2024, to March 16, 2024.
The results of the excavations revealed the existence of a Roman cemetery containing more than thirty tombs that were uncovered.
Additionally, a Roman house with a mosaic-tiled floor featuring geometric patterns was also discovered.
These two landmarks date back to the period between the second and fourth centuries AD.
