The Minister of Trade and Export Development Kalthoum Ben Rjeb received today, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Tunisia, Ehab Fahmy, stated the Tunisian Ministry.

This meeting was an occasion to discuss preparations for the upcoming Tunisian-Egyptian Trade and Industry Joint Committee, which is scheduled to take place in Tunis in November 2023, according to a press release issued by the ministry of Trade and Export Development.

The two sides discussed preparations for "this important event and underlined their joint commitment to increase trade exchanges to a level befitting the exceptional bilateral relations".

They reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to strengthening economic ties and removing any obstacles that could decrease the flow of goods in both directions.

They also agreed to organize a joint business forum on the sidelines of the committee's work, bringing together business leaders and investors from Tunisia and Egypt in various sectors.

“This would contribute to a better understanding of the different characteristics of the business environment in both countries,” according to the same source.
