Tunisia expresses its surprise from the Turkish President’s declaration

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad expressed its deep surprise from the declaration made by the Turkish President regarding Tunisia (When he said that the dissolution of Parliament was a blow to the will of the Tunisian people).

The Tunisian Ministry considers this declaration an unacceptable interference in the internal affairs, and it completely contradicts with the fraternal ties that unite the both countries, their peoples and the principle of a mutual respect in relations between countries.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad reminds that Tunisia, as far as its commitment to the principles of its foreign policy and its keenness to build close relations with brotherly and friendly countries based on cooperation, solidarity, consultation and mutual trust, also adheres to the independence of its national decision, and it strongly rejects every attempt to interfere in its sovereignty and the choices of its people or to question its democratic path. which is irreversible.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad also affirms that Tunisia is a free and independent country and its people is the sovereign and the only authorized to choose the path of real freedom that preserves security, dignity, rights and gains.

The Tunisian people has the right to break from the past and the formal democracy that has nothing to do with the will of Tunisians.
