The Tunisian Minister of Health, Ali Mrabet received yesterday, Wednesday, at the headquarters of the ministry, the Director General of Mauritania's Agency for Food Safety Mahfoudh Baya.

The meeting was an occasion to discuss ways to scale up partnership in food safety and the quality of food products.

The Mauritanian official is paying a visit to Tunisia, at the invitation of the national Food Safety Authority (INSSPA in French), with a view to tapping into its experience.

The agency, set up in June 2022, is the only one in charge of the food chain in Tunisia.

The meeting was held with attendance of INSSPA Director General Mohamed Rabhi.
