The Tunisian Ministry of Agriculture, Water Resources and Fisheries stated that the Minister Abdel Moneem Belaati, received, yesterday evening, at the headquarters of the ministry, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Tunisia, Saad bin Nasser Al-Homidi.

The meeting outlined the most important features of cooperation between Tunisia and Qatar and ways to develop them, especially at the level of supporting investment in the agricultural sector and increasing the volume of trades related to agricultural materials such as olive oil and dates.

On the same occasion the Minister stressed on the importance to strengthen cooperation relations in the agricultural field in order to face the challenges in this sector in light of the climate change, stated the ministry.

For his part, the Qatari Ambassador expressed the desire of the State of Qatar to raise the level of cooperation with Tunisia in the agricultural sector by launching joint projects. He also confirmed his readiness to study the proposals received from the Tunisian side to develop agricultural investment.
