The Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Tunisia stated that the Minister Mrs. Hayet Guettat Guermazi, received yesterday, February 01,2023, at the ministry's headquarters, the Russian Ambassador to Tunisia, Mr. Alexander Zolotov.

This meeting was an opportunity to discuss prospects for more enhanced Tunisian-Russian cultural cooperation.

The meeting was also attended by Head of the Russian Centre for Culture and Science Mr. Yuri Zaitsev.

The two sides discussed a number of cooperation possibilities, including notably the organization of joint international visual arts and ceramics exhibitions, supporting the Tunis Translation Institute by providing some literary and scientific works presenting the various features of the two countries' historical and cultural heritage, and reinforcing the Russian art's presence in national and international cultural events organized by the Ministry and its various institutions.

Mrs. Guermazi proposed on the occasion, the holding of a working session at the Tunis Culture City, with attendance of Russia's ambassador and a group of officials from the relevant Tunisian cultural institutions, to table efficient proposals for joint cultural action projects under the 2023-2026 cooperation programme between both countries.

For his part, the Russian Ambassador voiced his country's willingness to further foster these bilateral ties in all cultural fields and to identify new prospects to further bolster bilateral cooperation.
