The Presidency of the Republic of Tunisia stated that yesterday the President Kaïs Saïed met, at the Palace of Carthage, with the White House Coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa and member of the US National Security Council Brett McGurk.

The meeting was an opportunity to "present Tunisia's position in relation to reforms that meet the demands of Tunisians and ways to achieve them according to a new vision," according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.

The historical ties of friendship, cooperation and strategic partnership between Tunisia and the United States and the need to identify ways to promote them in several fields were also highlighted at this meeting.
