As part of his participation in the high-level seminar on strengthening peace and security in Africa, held in the Algerian city of Oran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, met yesterday, Sunday, December 17, 2023, with his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf.

On this occasion, the Tunisian Minister congratulated Algeria for the excellent organization of this forum and for the smooth running of its works, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.

The two Foreign Ministers reviewed on the occasion, the dynamic and continuous progress characterizing the Tunisian-Algerian relations, welcoming the results of the 22nd session of the Tunisia-Algeria High Joint Commission held last October 2-4 in Algiers.

The recent regional and international developments, especially the Palestinian issue and the war on Gaza were also discussed, the Tunisian Foreign Ministry added.

The two ministers exchanged views on the ongoing barbaric aggression by the Zionist entity against the defenseless Palestinian people and the deliberate continuation of a systematic genocidal policy targeting the women and children of Gaza.
