On the occasion of his visit to London to lead the Tunisian delegation participating in the Second Session of the Tunisian-British Association Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, held a meeting yesterday, Thursday, with the British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, Commonwealth and Development, James Cleverly.
The meeting provided an opportunity to praise the excellent relations between the two countries and to affirm the common aspiration of both sides to further strenthen them in all fields, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
The two sides welcomed the holding of the Second Sesion of the Tunisian-British Association Council and the completion of its work mechanisms. they also highlighted the importance of following up on the results of this session.
The issue of irregular migration was also discussed during this meeting, and the Tunisian Minister reiterated the commitment to tackle this phenomenon within a comprehensive approach.
The last developments in Gaza were also discussed, and the Tunisian Foreign Minister reaffirmed the firm position of Tunisia regarding the Palestinian cause, which was clearly stated during the emergency meeting of Arab foreign ministers, held in Cairo on October 11.
