The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, engaged in significant diplomatic activities on July 16, 2024. In the morning, he received Joseph Sammut, who handed him a copy of his Credentials as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Tunisia.
On this occasion, the Minister greeted the newly appointed Ambassador and confirmed the Ministry's readiness to provide all required assistance to exercise his functions in Tunisia, stated the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
The meeting underlined the longstanding relations of friendship between Tunisia and Malta and emphasized the two countries' common will to further develop and diversify bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
Later that day, Minister Ammar received the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Tunisia, Sun Nahm-kook, who paid a farewell visit on the occasion of the termination of his duties, according to the same source.
The Minister expressed his high appreciation for the Korean Ambassador's efforts to develop and diversify relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, especially in the economic field.
He reiterated Tunisia's determination to further strengthen the existing cooperation between the two friendly nations in various areas. During the meeting,
Ammar recalled the important visit of the Head of Government during Tunisia's participation in the first Korean-African Summit held in Seoul on June 4-5, 2024, and expressed Tunisia's readiness to contribute to the development of Korean-African cooperation.
The Korean Ambassador expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Tunisian authorities for their great support and cooperation during his tenure and reaffirmed his country's commitment to elevating bilateral relations to the highest possible level.
