The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, led the Tunisian delegation participating in the first Saudi-African Summit held in Riyadh today, Friday, November 10, 2023, according to a statement by the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
In his speech, the Tunisian Minister welcomed the initiative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold this first summit, which will represent an important source of support for the relations of friendship and cooperation between the Saudi Arabia and the African countries.
He reiterated Tunisia's constant willingness to contribute to the institutionalization and support of the partnership that will emerge from this summit and to put all its experiences and expertise at the service of this global partnership.
He also stressed the importance of supporting and intensifying consultations between the Kingdom and the countries of the African continent on the one hand, and between the Kingdom and the African Union on the other hand, in order to better coordinate positions on the most important current issues, foremost of which the just Palestinian cause and the restoration of the full legitimate national rights of the Palestinian people, said the Tunisian Foreign Ministry.
