The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Tunisians Abroad stated that today Tuesday, December 6, 2022, the Minister Othman Jerandi received the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China, ZHANG Jianguo at the end of his mission to Tunis.

Development projects between Tunisia and China were discussed at the meeting, according to a statement by the ministry.

The meeting was also an opportunity to review the prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and the opportunities offered in the framework of Arab-Chinese cooperation and Chinese-African cooperation.

Jerandi praised the excellent relations established between Tunisia and China, paying tribute to Ambassador Jianguo for the efforts he has made during his mission in Tunisia to consolidate the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

He also stressed the importance of developing Chinese-Tunisian cooperation programs and boosting development and investment projects in Tunisia, in addition to strengthening economic and trade cooperation.

For his part, the Chinese ambassador thanked the Tunisian authorities for the support he found throughout his mission in Tunisia and reaffirmed his country's concern to develop the bilateral relations in all areas.
