The Tunisian Head of Government, Ahmed Hashani, received yesyerday, morning, at the Government Palace in the Kasbah, the Minister of Economy and Trade of the Libyan National Unity Government, Mohammad Ali Hawij .

At the beginning of the meeting, the Libyan minister congratulated the Head of Tunisian Government on his appointment by the President and he wished him success in his duties.

He also conveyed the greetings of the Head of the Libyan National Unity Government, Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh.

The Head of Government expressed his satisfaction with the dynamism witnessed by the bilateral cooperation relations in various fields, praising the results of the visit of the Head of the Libyan National Unity Government to Tunisia at the end of 2022.

In this context, he stressed the importance of strengthening consultations between senior officials from the two countries and expediting the meeting of the sectoral committees in preparation for convening the joint higher committee during the coming period.

The Tunisian Head of Government noted the role of the private sector in developing economic relations between the two countries through strengthening the economic partnership and developing trade exchanges between the two sides.

For his part, the Libyan Minister of Economy and Trade stressed the importance of supporting economic, investment and trade cooperation in order to activate the memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries, pointing to the Libyan side's readiness to convene the Joint Higher Committee in Tripoli.
